The Zoe Foundation was incorporated in the State of North Carolina as a non-profit on March 24, 2000. On November 11, 2000 the Internal Revenue Service granted The Zoe Foundation tax exempt status as a public charity under section 4940 of the Internal Revenue Code. We received our exempt status from North Carolina on March 22, 2001. Your donations are tax deductible. The foundation documents can be reviewed at our office during regular business hours, or by clicking one of the links at the bottom of this page.

The Zoe Foundation began as a sole proprietorship in 1987. People mentioned through the years that they would like to contribute to help our mission, but they would do so only if we were a 501 c(3). That’s why we reorganized - to accommodate individuals who desired to help with funding.

The foundation is still a small organization even though we have some dramatic plans on the drawing board. We do have a plan to increase awareness and funding, but it is detailed and is be pursued carefully.

Since we are a small organization right now we have not registered in different states as a fund raising entity because we do not meet the $5,000 minimum state requirements even though we ask for donations 24/7 globally via the Internet. We do not target specific individuals in selected states. Neither do we solicit funds using e-mail, fax, or conventional mail. When we anticipate implementing our major campaign we will publish our Unified Registration Statement right here for everyone to review.

Thank you for your consideration.
